KGI Securities Investment Trust Co. Ltd. (KGI SITC) was
established on April 19, 2001 with capital of NT$300mn. While moving
towards its three major goals of new product development, fund performance
enhancement and customer service refinement, KGI SITC aims to create wealth
for its clients and to be their life-long financial partner.
The
research and investment personnel of KGI SITC all have a solid financial
backgrounds and the team has achieved outstanding results. Staff have at
least eight years of investment experience. Thanks to this substantial
research ability, KGI Pioneer Fund was awarded ¡§Best Domestic Equity Fund
(one year category)¡¨ by the Taipei Foundation of Finance in 2004.
While KGI SITC already boasts products covering all major
markets in the world, it still continued to break new ground in product
development in 2007. Ahead of competitors, KGI SITC launched KGI Pan-Asia
Taiwan Enterprises Fund, the first Taiwanese fund to invest directly in
Vietnam's equity market. In the second half of 2007, KGI launched the
Taiwan Technology Focus Fund, a domestic equity fund. In total, KGI SITC
managed nine public offering funds in 2007.
KGI SITC has been actively developing innovative,
specialized financial products with added-value since the Securities
Investment and Consulting Act was passed in 2004. It has also entered the
privately-raised fund market, answering demand from high net worth
individuals. Ahead of most peers, KGI SITC launched its first
privately-raised fund in April 2005. Six privately-raised funds have been
launched since, covering financial asset securitization, convertible bonds
and equities. KGI SITC was also first to launch a financial asset
securitization fund in Taiwan. Meanwhile, the KGI convertible bonds fund
has been a top performer.
KGI SITC has also obtained a license for discretionary
fund management, which allows it to customize investment solutions to meet
different clients' needs. Total managed assets, including public offering
funds, privately-raised funds and discretionary funds, reached NT$16.21bn as
of the end of 2007.
