Press Release

In response to the global financial industry’s accelerating adoption of AI, KGI Financial Holding continues to deepen its digital transformation strategy by participating in the national “AI New Ten Major Construction Projects — Intelligent Finance” initiative. The company has joined both the “Financial Large Language Model (FinLLM)” program and the cross‑industry “AI FinTech Anti‑Fraud” project. Through collaboration among industry, government, academia, and research, KGI is investing in financial AI infrastructure to enhance service efficiency and risk management capabilities, advancing toward AI‑driven financial innovation.

The FinLLM project, initiated by the FinTech Industry Alliance, has brought together 16 financial institutions including KGI Financial Holding. It is jointly promoted with resources from the National Science and Technology Council, the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance, the Institute for Information Industry, and the Accelerate Private Machine Intelligence Company. The project aims to build a financial‑specific large language model equipped with localized financial knowledge and regulatory compliance understanding. In collaboration with the FinTech Research Center, National Chengchi University, and financial peers, a model evaluation mechanism is being established, serving as a critical foundational infrastructure for the financial industry’s future adoption of AI.

KGI Financial Holding stated that AI is not only about technology adoption but also represents a comprehensive transformation of financial services and organizational operations. The Group integrates AI development with the ONE KGI one‑stop financial service platform, together with subsidiary KGI Bank, to advance AI implementation through three major strategies: Intelligent Compliance Governance, Agile Innovation Incubation, and Talent Development Co‑Learning. Through the capabilities of the FinLLM model, regulatory analysis and risk monitoring are strengthened, transforming compliance management from passive review to proactive protection. AI is leveraged to integrate cross‑departmental knowledge, accelerating the development process for innovative services. At the same time, a generative learning environment is established to build a personalized professional financial training system, cultivating financial talent equipped with AI collaboration skills.

In fraud prevention, KGI Bank is actively engaged in the “AI FinTech Anti‑Fraud” project and the Financial Anti‑Fraud Alliance, working with regulators and industry peers to establish a cross‑institutional anti‑fraud network. Through transaction monitoring and early warning mechanisms, fraud risks can be intercepted in advance. At the same time, the “AI‑RADAR Intelligent Anti‑Fraud System,” built with AI federated learning and big data analytics, continues to optimize suspicious account and abnormal transaction detection models. In 2025, the number of flagged accounts decreased by 27% compared to the previous year, demonstrating the tangible effectiveness of AI applications. In addition, KGI Financial Holding is simultaneously advancing AI governance by joining the FinTech Industry Alliance’s “Programmable AI Governance” project. Together with industry partners, the company is helping to establish AI risk management and ethical standards, ensuring that innovation and compliance progress hand in hand.

Leveraging the achievements of its digital transformation, KGI Financial Holding was honored in 2026 by Business Weekly as a distinguished winner in the “AI Innovation Top 100” selection. In recent years, KGI Bank has also received consecutive honors, including the 2025 Harvard Business Review Digital Transformation Award and the 2026 The Asset “Best Digital Fraud Protection Experience” recognition from international financial media. KGI Financial Holding will continue to collaborate with regulators and industry partners to drive the development of Taiwan’s financial AI ecosystem, injecting long‑term innovative momentum into Smart Finance.
