CDIB Capital Group (CDIB), a leading private equity and asset manager in Asia-Pacific, is pleased to announce the successful closing of its CDIB NexGen Partners Fund (the "Fund"), a private equity vehicle focused on mid-market buyouts across the Greater China region. The Fund secured substantial commitments from global institutional investors, including StepStone Group ("StepStone") and AB Value Capital Partners (“AB Value”), among other prominent institutional investors.

CDIB President Melanie Nan indicated that the successful closing of the Fund underscores strong investor confidence in CDIB’s proven investment strategy, regional expertise, value creation capabilities, and attractiveness of the investment portfolio. The Fund is strategically positioned to capitalize on compelling opportunities by addressing generational transition dynamics in Asia while leveraging CDIB’s extensive relationships and deep insights in advanced manufacturing sectors.

"We are thrilled to celebrate the closing of CDIB NexGen Partners Fund with the support of esteemed global partners," said Alex Ying, Head of Buyout Group at CDIB. "This milestone reflects our shared vision of driving value creation and supporting transformative businesses in Greater China. Vincent Hsu, Partner, Private Equity Asia at StepStone Group, added, "We are proud to partner with CDIB and be a key investor in the CDIB NexGen Partners Fund. The Fund’s focus on mid-market buyouts aligns with our commitment to supporting differentiated fund managers in the Asia region."

This marks a significant milestone for the buyout platform, as we invest alongside other global investors,” said Dennis Chung, Co-Founder & Managing Partner of AB Value. “The Fund’s strategy aligns with our Taiwan Plus initiative, and we look forward to deepening our collaboration with the team to support investments in the Greater China region.”

The successful launch of the Fund reflects CDIB’s ability to attract world-class investors to its innovative investment platforms.
