S&P Global, the international authority on sustainability assessments, recently released the list of companies included in the S&P Sustainability Yearbook 2026. KGI Financial Holding stood out among numerous global financial institutions, earning the highest honor as the No. 1 company worldwide in the insurance industry category. This marks KGI’s fifth consecutive inclusion in the Yearbook and sets a record for its best performance to date. KGI Financial Holding stated that this achievement is both a milestone and a responsibility. The Group will continue to uphold international standards through institutionalized, data‑driven, and transparent sustainability governance, establishing itself as a benchmark in the industry.

The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook is based on the results of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), selecting the top 15% of performers across industries from more than 9,200 companies worldwide. It serves as a key benchmark for international institutional investors in allocating ESG assets. In this year’s assessment, KGI Financial Holding achieved global No. 1 rankings in 7 out of 18 evaluation categories, including transparency and information disclosure, business ethics, policy influence, climate strategy, occupational health and safety, financial inclusion, and customer relations. These results underscore KGI’s outstanding achievements in sustainability development.

KGI Financial Holding has demonstrated highly mature, internationally benchmarked capabilities in data governance and sustainability management. The Group has completed greenhouse gas inventories across 100% of its global operating sites, all verified by international third‑party standards. In 2024, total Group greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 22.7% compared with the baseline year, while annual electricity consumption fell by 2.57%. Cumulative green power usage reached nearly 8.9 million kWh. Beyond effectively reducing its operational carbon footprint, KGI has extended its influence into the circular economy by partnering with the Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau to repurpose pruned street‑tree wood, pioneering a new model of local resource regeneration.

In corporate governance and responsible finance, KGI Financial Holding has incorporated sustainability into its board‑level governance framework and passed the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) review. The Group’s financed emissions reduction targets now cover 50% of assets. It has also set a pathway to fully exit from coal and unconventional oil and gas by 2040, redirecting capital toward low‑carbon transition industries and fostering shared value across the value chain.

In social inclusion, KGI Financial Holding leveraged its financial expertise and volunteer resources to support local revitalization teams in strengthening brand and operational capacity. In 2024, the Group assisted 27 local revitalization teams across Taiwan, contributing more than 7,500 volunteer service hours. At the same time, service processes for elderly and disabled groups were optimized to ensure fair treatment and financial fraud prevention. The Group also established a comprehensive welfare and talent development system, enabling employees to balance career and life while building a resilient workforce. These efforts earned KGI the “Talent Development Leadership Award” at the TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards in both 2024 and 2025, as well as the 1111 Golden Award for Happy Enterprises.

KGI Financial Holding emphasized that going forward, the Group will continue to deepen sustainability governance in line with international standards, strengthening its financial influence. The company is committed to advancing as a financial institution that combines growth momentum with sustainable value, creating long‑term value for shareholders, employees, and society.
